NordSovereign.ai is a new AI infrastructure provider, or AI hosting provider if you want to call us that.
We’re born out of the needs for organizations to process and store their valuable data within the borders of the European Union (EU).
AI is moving at a rapid speed and it’s a global race to not only be the leader, but also to protect IP, and to gain the advantages for the people, the businesses and for public sector.
NordSovereign.ai is not for everyone. We’re for the ones that are concerned about ties with countries outside the EU that weaken their protection and instead want EU sovereignty.
We’re also for organizations that feel that procuring AI infrastructure services is unnecessarily complex and that hate when not being able to control cost as AI inference can sometimes reach levels way above what was initially budgeted.

When it comes to data sovereignty, it’s a complex question that is moving rapidly. The models that we provide are European and from China. They are all open weight, which is a foundational criterion for us. The models from European companies are trained on European data and have little or no exposure outside the EU.
Models from US or China are trained on cloud infrastructure from these countries meaning that open‑weights models from outside EU are not EU sovereign because of their training which is important for some organizations.
The advantages with some of these non-EU models is that when hosting them with us, the solution becomes GDPR‑compliant. Running Chinese or US open‑weight models on EU servers eliminates data‑residency concerns and prevents unauthorized data transmission.
It also reduces the geopolitical risk as it avoids; US CLOUD Act exposure, US FISA 702 surveillance jurisdiction, and Chinese data‑processing jurisdiction (because inference happens in the EU).
NordSovereign.ai is aligned with the EU AI Act (Regulation 2024/1689) and implements all currently enforceable obligations for GPAI providers and limited risk AI systems.
As the pace of evolution in AI models is astonishingly high, we want YOU to tell us which models that you want us to add. We see that there will be a demand for nationally supported LLMs that are trained in a local language and we want to embrace those if the market demand is reasonable.
